Tips and Tricks for Animal PhotographyThis is a question that has come up in my inbox often. Photographing animals is definitely quite the experience- there is magic in capturing their personality on camera, intrigue in immortalizing their gaze, and wonder in freezing their bodies in movement. So, what is the best way of going about this? Well, I'll tell you how!
(Camera settings are based on DSLR cameras, point and shoot specifications may differ. Please consult your camera instruction manual for more information.)
(These tips are also subjective, and are of my own personal preference.)
1. A Tired Dog is a Good Dog.
This phrase is often thrown around by pet owners, but rings true for photography! An animal that is tired is more likely to cooperate for portraits. Play with your subject before hand to tire them out, if you are photographing a dog, run around in the yard for an hour! Cats, swing that feather duster around, horses, ride them out, etc. A burst of energy is good for action photography, but if you want

16 tips for photographing squirrelsHere are some things that I have noticed in trying to improve my squirrel photography. Many of them apply to photography in general. If I think of any other tips, I will post them here when I get a chance and indicate the date that I have added them. If you are an advanced or professional photographer, you may not find much new here, but if you are newer to nature photography, some of these tips might be helpful.
1. The fundamental rule of animal photography: focus the camera on the animal's eyes. This can be difficult with squirrels, being the squirrely creatures that they are, but it is essential that the eyes be in focus. (I have lots of substandard images in which I unintentionally focused on the middle of the body or the tail, usually because the squirrel moved too quickly for me.) Only on rare occasions and for artistic purposes should the eyes be out of focus.
2. You are making an entire photograph, not just an image of a squirrel that is cut out or surrounded
Saturday Spotlight: Volume 014An Interview with-
> Please introduce yourself, in your own words. What are your interests?
Hello: my name is Pierre Lagarde, AKA Pierre-Lagarde. I'm a consultant in computer systems and data processing in a large company, and a photography and design hobbyist. I love music, singing, talking and laughing with friends and, for all these past years, I loved skating.
> Where did you begin with artistic endeavours? How did you come across Abstraction or Surrealism?
I began a few years ago for fun by making some desktop wallpapers for my friends and I, and also trying some 3D works with the primary software

Dog Behavior & Body Language – Your Dog’s Language
© Written by t3hsilentone
You ever wonder what your dog might be trying to communicate with you?
It’s not as complicated as you may believe. In fact, all too often people tend to misinterpret a dog’s body language, resulting with the person being hurt to a dog’s own life being taken in defense. This is mostly caused by choosing to hear more with our ears, instead of looking with our eyes. Not
Owning a camera does not make you a photographerOwning a camera does not make you a photographer, the same way owning a pen does not make you an author.
I think what justifies being able to call yourself a photographer is the ability to take a good photo.
Anyone can take a photo, but not everyone can take a good photo.
Almost everyone owns a camera, I'm sure the majority of you even have one on your cell phone. And what does it take to use the camera and take a photo? Simply the ability to click the shutter button. Everyone's got sliding filaments capable of creating a muscle contraction allowing you to apply force onto a shutter button to click it and effectively take a photo. Anyone can take a photo. Does the ability to click a button make you an artist? No.
As I mentioned before, I think what justifies being able to call yourself a photographer is the ability to take a good photo. It's the ability to know the best angle, composition, lighting, temperature, depth of fie
